The English Football League Girls Cup is a six-a-side competition for U13 school children that culminates in a final played at Wembley Stadium.

2012 was a very special year for the Community Trust when All Hallows Catholic Secondary School proved victorious in the local, area and regional rounds of the competition. Leading to the opportunity to be the first ever team to represent Aldershot Town at Wembley.

Competing against their school counterparts, who were representing Tranmere F.C , the girls fought out a tense 1-1 draw before overcoming their rivals from the Wirral when successfully winning a penalty shoot-out decider.

The girls then had the honour of climbing the famous Wembley steps where they were crowned the National Champions for 2011/12 and all that was left was for the celebrations to begin!!

Through the Community Trusts extensive work in the area of girls football it is hoped that the Scheme can continue to provide opportunities for local girls… and who knows… maybe a few more return visits to Wembley.
