HEALTHLY LIFESTYLES PROGRAMME
Coaches from the Aldershot Town Community Trust regularly visit local schools and take part in assemblies and lessons to promote healthy lifestyles and positive messages to juniors. Anti-smoking, drugs and behavioural issues are also discussed with youngsters ranging from junior to senior level.
Like many of the initiatives run by the trust, preference is given to those schools and organisations actively involved with the club.
The course also runs first aid and health awareness courses which link in with various health agencies.
Recently the Community Trust worked in conjunction with St Josephs Primary School, holding a whole day of physical activity to raise awareness and money for the British Heart Foundation. First Team players were also involved to hand out prizes to the children who raised the most money. For more information check out the news page.
