Karen Sinden (Community Safety Officer)
“The Trust works in partnership with both Hart District Council and Rushmoor Borough Council delivering a variety of football projects for local Communities. They offer football courses during every school holiday and Soccer at Six sessions throughout the summer to girls and boys ranging from age 5-15 years, of all skill levels.
The projects are professionally run by F.A. qualified Aldershot Town Community Trust staff. The courses are both competitive and fun and those attending can’t fail to leave with a sense of achievement and a smile on their faces. They learn team skills in a safe, secure and fun environment.
On a personal note it is a pleasure to work with the Trust on such beneficial projects promoting both health and fitness for local youngsters.

Oli Walker (Police Community Support Officer)
“The joint work that the Trust has afforded the local community, in conjunction with Constabulary, has proved invaluable and in many cases has ‘diverted many young people from taking the wrong path in life.’ It has also allowed ourselves to educate and breakdown many boundaries whilst most importantly providing fun and healthy opportunities for many juniors.”

Kitty Yarwood (Sport and Recreation Officer, Fleet Town Council)
“The partnership work between ourselves, Fleet Town Council and the Trust, has allowed many juniors to undertake healthy sporting activities that actively encourage both involvement and development. As a working partner we have always found the Trust to be professional in all that they do with a knowledge and expertise in a wide band of sports, not just football.”

Suzanne Watkins (Support Services Manager, Parkside)
“The FITC scheme has enabled our clients to have access to the expertise of the trainers from the club who have been supportive and encouraging whilst recognising each clients individual needs and bringing them together to work as a team. All the clients have benefitted greatly as you will see from their comments.”

“Just a quick line to say, thank you for all the care and attention yourself and your team devoted to my son George during last week’s course.

He had a fabulous time and the transformation in him to one of a confident young man who couldn’t wait for the mornings to come was a joy to behold. Rest assured we will be the first name down on your next course”

Colin Mills
“Dear Kirk, Please pass on my thanks to your coaching team, the players and of course to yourself on behalf of myself and Joseph. He had a truly incredible week, as did I watching you guys work.

The enthusiasm you all go about your duties is truly vibrant and the thrill of meeting the players was the icing on the cake for Joseph even though, apologies, I’m ashamed to say I didn’t recognise all of the players.“

“A huge thank you to you, Gavin and the team for last week. Kieran and Millie had a ‘whale of a time’. It takes something to tire not one but both of them out, but somehow you and the guys managed it! The way the sessions were pitched at their respective age and ability levels was truly unique.

A fact I have commented to many of my friends (So watch out for a flood of bookings). We’re all now very much looking forward to attending the Aldershot match and hope to maybe see you on the day? Either way rest we’ll be booking up for the next course as soon as they are confirmed. Many thanks again”

What the current and ex players say:

Jordan Roberts

What the current and ex players say:

Ben Herd
“Myself and the team are always more than happy to support the good work that Kirk, Gavin and their Community team carry out in the locality. Through attending many events personally I can see ‘first hand’ what a difference the Trust and Football Club can make to its community and I never cease to be amazed by the diversity of the Trust’s projects.”

Jamie Young
“As role models for many juniors it’s important that we play our part in the local community and through the work of the Community Trust we can do this. The Trusts links with many schools, juniors and community groups allows ourselves as players to assist with a variety of initiatives ranging from numeracy and literacy to leading healthy lifestyles. If we can use our position to educate juniors or adults through the power of sport then that has to be a big plus for all concerned”

Brett Williams
“It’s always a pleasure to assist with Trust activities and meet junior supporters, who we hope will end up supporting the team. I know from attending many Community events that the children have great fun and its always great if as players we can assist in putting a smile on their faces.”
