MEMORABLE SUMMER 2017 COMES TO AN END

MEMORABLE SUMMER 2017 COMES TO AN END

The end of a memorable 6 weeks of ‘Summer 2017’ football activities is upon us as children across our locality return to school armed with plenty of new skills, friends and stories.

A huge ‘thank you’ must go to all the children, parents and guardians that turned up in all weathers to help us reach record figures for attendance and make the holiday courses and Soccer@6 sessions the best in the area.

The last of the six courses to run over the school holidays saw children aged between 5 – 14 years old hone their skills at Oakley Park, Fleet – a venue that has really embraced the ‘community spirit’ we wish to create with thanks to Fleet Council, Hart Council and indeed Friends of Oakley Park. Each attendee received ABF The Soldiers’ Charity skills footballs which they then used over the coming days in competitive but fun tests.

Whilst we were busy putting together great holiday courses, the fun didn’t stop there. Soccer@6 continued running, as it had been since May, and came to an end last week with many new friends made, new players introduced to the game and new skills discovered.

We now look forward to the return to school, with the continuation of after school football clubs as well as a new and improved curriculum time programme. Aldershot Town Football in the Community provides curriculum time and after school football training to numerous schools across Aldershot, Farnborough, Ash, Fleet, Yateley and Guildford. Our vast experience in coaching children of all abilities and ages allows us to challenge and interact with everyone, subsequently providing a successful learning environment based around the national curriculum.

Once again, we would like to thank you all for your continuous support and would welcome all enquiries from schools, parents or organisations to fitc@aldershottownfitc.co.uk.
