Week 3 of the Aldershot Town and District Community coaching courses witnessed in excess of 120 different juniors attending the Trust’s activities. Defying the stats, in what is historically a lower attendance week, the Trust was delighted to welcome many new and old faces along to activities during the middle of the School Summer holiday break.
The Trust’s week long course, once again, attracted an array of different characters with many skills on show throughout the week. Teaming up with ABF, the Soldiers Charity, the Trust ran a series of mini skills tests in which juniors were tested against one another, the clock, individually and even against the coaches.
As well as receiving a personal certificate and competing for medals and trophies ‘Each and Every’ junior was delighted to receive their own personal skills ball, courtesy of ABF, allowing them to continue their skills development at home and with friends long after the courses have finished.
- Please Note : All concerned at the Trust hope these gifts aren’t to the detriment of the geraniums and hydrangeas at parents gardens throughout the county!!
Many photographic highlights of the week are displayed on our Facebook site including pictures of our players of the week, skills champions, tournament winners and ‘cheesiest grin’ winners so please feel free to check them out and tag in your friends if you recognise any of the ‘little stars.’
The Community band wagon moves on to Manor Park, Aldershot for week four of the courses (22nd-24th August) with the final weeks course taking place at Oakley Park (29th-31st August). If you would like to book a place on either of these courses then please just visit the ‘sessions’ page of our website and we look forward to seeing ‘many more’ budding stars before the little characters return back to school.
